TOUR from Marrakech

Day 1: Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Dadès Gorges Our journey starts from Marrakech to Dadès Gorges. We travel across the Tizi-n-Tichka Atlas pass (2260m), with far-reaching views across the mountains, to the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet and take a guided tour of the Kasbah of El Glaoui, former War Lord and Pasha of Marrakech. We continue and visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of c, a spectacular fortified village (ksour). We have our lunch at Ait Benhaddou or Ouarzazate and continue to Dadès Gorges where we well spend the night in a riad/hotel.
Day 2: From Dadès Gorges to Merzouga
After breakfast, we go from Dadès Gorges to the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Berber villages are scattered along the way. We’ll pass through Tinjdad, Jorf and Erfoud in which we’ll feel the beginning of the Saharan Oasis of Tafilalt and then continue to Merzouga. After relaxing for a time, we go for the camels that are waiting to take us on an adventure in the sand dunes. We will spend the night in an equipped camp with drums music in the middle of the Sahara, which is a great opportunity to take lovely pictures of the sunset and sunrise. When we arrive to the camp, we climb the high dunes to see the sunset and spend the night in nomad tents
Day 3: Merzouga - Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After watching the sunrise we go back to Merzouga. We will have an opportunity to take a shower and have a lovely breakfast. Then we start our journey back to Ouarzazate. On our way, we visit the Berber shops where you may purchase souvenirs like fossils, carpets, lamps, leather… We arrive Ouarzazate in the afternoon and from there head back to Marrakech.

The best trip we can recommend to our guests is a combination betwen two differents part of Morocco ,Atlas Mountains and Sahara .So first part which trekking in Atlas Mountains is an adventure part and the second part which is Camel ride in Erg chebbi merzouga and for fun.First adventure part is include the Toubkal ascent and the scond part is experience for a night at the Berber camp.

Day 1:Marrakech – Imlil –Toubkal Hut

After a transfer to the little village of Imlil we begin our trek. Heading along the Mizane Valley, we first pass the village of Aremd and then onto the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch. We then continue east and by crossing the flood plains our route takes us along mule tracks and up into the high rocky cliffs above the valley. Crossing the river we eventually come to the pastoral shrine of Sidi Chamarouch, which attracts tourists and pilgrims. From here the trail continues to climb steadily, snaking and zigzagging its way up to the snowline and the Toukbal Refuge (3206m), our stop for the night. Approx. 4 to 5hrs walking.

Day 2:Toubkal Refuge – Toubkal Summit

Early in the morning we make our attempt on the summit of Jebel Toukbal, the highest peak in Northern Africa. Our route takes us up the south cirque, crossing the stream above the refuge. The walking is relatively straightforward, but the scree and the altitude will make the going quite difficult in parts. The views along the way make the journey more than worthwhile. When you reach the summit you will see that the vistas across the surrounding landscape are quite breathtaking. From here there are unrestricted views in every direction, from the Marrakesh Plain to the High Atlas in the north and as far south as the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara. We will retrace our steps when we return down the mountain and head back to the Toubkal Refuge where we will spend the night.

Day 3:Toubkal Hut –Sid Chamharouch - Tamatert

Today we walk back from the Toubkal Refuge After breakfast to our guest house in Tamatert ,we will stop at the shrine sidi Chamharouch for a cup of tea then we carry on down via Armed to reach our Guest House in Tamatert.

Day 4: Imlil -Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou – Ouarzazate - Dades Gorge

We will meet you at your riad or hotel in the morning, depart Imlil , and transport over the High Atlas Mountains by Tizi ‘n Tichka pass. We will have time to stop and enjoy impressive landscapes, and break for coffee or fresh-squeezed orange juice. We will spend the afternoon visiting World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou. This village of clustered Berber Kasbahs has been used as a backdrop for more than 20 films and was one of the most important fortress strongholds on the old Salt Road where caravans brought slaves, gold, ivory and salt from Saharan Africa to Marrakech and beyond. We’ll then pass through Ouarzazate, and the Valley of the Roses, famous for soft Persian rose oil. You will pass through many Berber villages, and once in the desert, see barren hillsides clustered with kasbahs (fortified dwellings that house many families and their livestock). After visiting the Tamnalt hills, we stay Dades valley in the upper gorge.

Day 5: Dades Gorge –Todra Gorge –Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)

After breakfast we take a short drive to walk through a massive fault dividing the High Atlas Mountains. Todra Gorge with sheer rock walls rises to 300m in its narrowest part. Then we’ll head for the Erg Chebbi sand. We continue deeper into the desert landscape, until dunes appear on the horizon. Our mid-afternoon destination is the auberge near of the duns, where you meet your camel guide and ride into the bivouac (camp). Upon arrival you will enjoy a mint tea and traditional tagine dinner prepared (vegetarians welcome) under the evening stars shining brilliantly in the clear night sky. Climb the dunes and watch the moon rise before retiring to your bed in a nomad tent.

Day 6: Erg Chebbi – Tazarine –Draa Valley – Marrakesh

Return by camel at sunrise to the Auberge for breakfast and shower. The remainder of the day is spent driving back to Ouarzazate via Tazarine where we’ll stop for lunch and visit the old Glaoui Kasbah Taouirirt. Then we cross the High Atlas once more, down the Tizi nTichka pass. Arrival in the evening in Marrakech.Night in Riad in Marrakech with BB.

This trip from Marrakech to Fes will show you many important sites such as the road of 1000 Kasbahs, Dades Gorge, Todra Gorge, Erg Chebbi and Middle Atlas Mountains.

Overview

Marrakech to Fes is a short desert trip between two kings’ cities (Marrakech and Fes) that’s possible to do via the Sahara for 3 days. Visiting several important sites such as the road of 1000 Kasbahs, Dades Gorge , Todra Gorge, Erg Chebbi and Middle Atlas Mountains. However it is a long drive but still an amazing trip with different landscape.

Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Gorge

Pick up after breakfast from your Riad / Hotel in Marrakech to travel over the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n Tichka pass. We will have time to stop and enjoy impressive landscapes and to visit the argon oil cooperative. We will stop for lunch and to visit at UNESCO World Heritage site, Ait Ben Haddou. After lunch we will pass through Ouarzazate and many Berber villages sprinkling the Skoura oasis and Meela M’Gouna, the ‘Valley of the Roses’ on our way to Dades Gorge. We will arrive late afternoon for accommodation and dinner in a traditional hotel.

Day 2: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Merzouga

After breakfast and a short drive to Todra Gorge, the massive fault dividing the High Atlas Mountains. We will take a walk to see the sheer rock walls that rise to 300 m in the narrowest parts before continuing to Merzouga. We will arrive late afternoon to our Erg Chebbi hotel and prepare for departure on the camels. We will take a 1h camel ride to see the sunset on top of the dunes before arriving to the desert camp. We will have a traditional tagine, drink delicious mint tea and listen to traditional Berber music while watching the stars and the rising moon in the amazing Sahara desert. We will spend the night in a traditional nomad tent.

Day 3: Merzouga – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes

We will travel via the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas mountains as we depart the desert region to Fes. We will drive through the cedar forests of Azrou and stop to hand feed the monkeys. We will continue via Ifrane, the ‘Switzerland of Morocco’ to arrive early evening to Fes.

Itinerary

Day 1: Marakkech – Ait Ben Hadou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley

After breakfast you will be picked up from your Riad in Marrakechand drive via the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka pass towards the Dades Valley, the final destination of today. Along the way we will stop in Ait ben hadou Kasbah to visit it and drive through a beautiful and vast landscape with colorful rocks and tranquil oases along Berber villages and kasbahs impressive ,stoping in ouarzazate for lunch and after that we carry on via the road of 1000 Kasbahs and Rose Valley where you can see the Dades Valley ,night at berber families house. Dinner tonight is included. Total travel time is about 6 hours.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge - Erg Chebbi (Sahara-Merzouga)

After breakfast , drive to the Todra Gorge . The Todra gorge is a narrow passage flanked by rock formations of up to 300 meters straight up . There is also a small river flowing through the gorge which is dry in the summer months at most of the places . After a stop in this gap , drive to the dunes of Erg Chebbi desert east of the village of Merzouga .These dunes over 90 feet high are always spectacular , but early in the morning or at dusk , they are at their best . You will stay overnight at Berber camp in the middle of the desert. Once you arive there in the afternone you will ride camels to the dunes for about 1 hour camel Ride.

Day 3: Erg Chebbi – Draa valley –Marrakech

After breakfast we will Return by camel after sunrise to the Auberge for breakfast and shower. The remainder of the day is spent driving back to Ouarzazate via Tazarine where we’ll stop for lunch on our way back to Hollywood city, Then we cross the High Atlas once more, down the Tizi nTichka pass. Arrival in the evening in Marrakech and Overnight in Riad in Marrakech.

This trip takes you to explore the best erg of Morocco is the erg Chgaga by 4 wheel drive and also exploring the Draa valley and old Kasbahs of slave trades routes.

Overview

The most dramatic dunes in the entire Zagora region lie some 60km southwest of M’Hamid, where the 300m-high crescents of the Erg Chigaga ripple away into the horizon. The 4 WD is necessary for this desert experience is much more akin to how you might imagine it. Erg Chegaga considered as a larger dunes, historically occupied by Bedouin Arabs, are around 40km long and 10-15km wide, reaching a height of up to 300m. Erg Chigaga can only be reached by 4×4, which takes a 2 hours from Mhamid to our Camp and amazing dunes.

Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate - Agdz

Departure from Marrakech to cross the Tizi n Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains with a short stop for coffee and visit of Ait ben hadou Kasbah UNESCO World Heritage site,then carry on over the Anti Atlas mountains via the Berber villages of Agdz and the amazing Draa Valley We will have dinner and spend the night in nice kasbah.

Day 2: Zagora – Tamagroute – Erg Chegaga.

After breakfast we will leave Agdez the heart of the draa valley To Erg Chegaga Via Zagora . We will continue towards the doorway to Sahara Desert -M’hamid. We will visit the the original town of the 16th century dynasty Tamgroute and the old Koran library and to see the ceramics the area is famous for. We arrive to the Saharan village of M’hamid before taking the off-road track to Erg Chegaga. We will ride the camels into the desert to see the sunset on top of the dunes. We will have a traditional tagine dinner, drink delicious mint tea, listen to traditional berber music while watching the stars and the rising moon in the amazing Sahara desert. We will spend the night in a traditional nomad tent.

Day 3: Erg Chegaga – Foum Zguid – Tazenackt – Marrakech.

We will rise early to see the spectacle of the sunrise over the dunes of the Sahara desert before making our long journey back to Red city of Marrakech we will have our amazing breakfast and a shower in our luxury Berber camp. We will then follow the old Paris-Dakar road to Foum Zguid, crossing Iriqui lake. We will have lunch in the Berber village of Taznakht before continuing to Our Hotel / Riad in Marrakech late in the afternone.

Continuing the road to Zagora passing by the Anti Atlas mountains, Berber villages of Agdz and the amazing Draa Valley with its millions palm trees which is considerded the largest one in Morocco. Evening arrival Zagora. You will start your camel trekking into the middle of the desert for an overnight camp.

Day 2: Zagora – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Morning sunrise on the dunes is something not to be missed. Camel trekking ride back to Zagora to reach your vehicle and start your trip back to Ouarzazate through the Draa valley and Agdz. In Ouarzazate you visit the Taourirt Kasbah and have lunch. Afternoon travel back to Marrakech.
